Dale Newman Releases New Album. Self Titled Album Released March 30th

Singer/songwriter Dale Newman, in association with Rocking Horse Music, is proud to announce the release of his new self-titled album, which will be available worldwide on 30 March 2018.

The new album, Newman’s first since 2002, was co-produced by Newman and award-winning American producer Brian Coombes. It was recorded at Rocking Horse Studio in the USA, the Farm in Surrey, and the Scrapyard in West Sussex.

‘This record sees a veteran songwriter at the peak of his creative powers,’ states co-producer Brian Coombes. ‘There’s an honesty to Dale’s writing that is sadly in short supply in today’s music industry. It’s refreshing and inspiring.’

The tracks on the record range from up-tempo numbers such as ‘The Slowest Train’ and ‘Slow Motion Blue,’ the stirring balled ‘I’ll Have to Carry On,’ and the atmospheric closer, ‘The Last Fence.’ The record features Newman on vocals, guitars, basses, and orchestrations, supported by talented session musicians from Rocking Horse Studio.

Dale Newman is music industry veteran with over 50 years of experience. In addition to working as a guitar technician and studio manager for the rock band Genesis, Newman has contributed to various solo records from Genesis members, including Anthony Phill ips (Sides), Steve Hackett (Please Don’t Touch), Mike Rutherford (Acting Very Strange), and Mike & the Mechanics (Beggar on a Beach of Gold). In 2016, Newman composed and recorded ‘Everyone Should Know’ for the Harmony for Elephants charity album, which also featured Steve Hackett, Anthony Phillips, and other artists.

The new album is Newman’s fourth, following in the path of The Eyes Have It (1998), Little Things That Matter (1999), and Cubed (2002).

Dale Newman will be available digitally on iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, and other online retailers; it will be available on CD via the Dale Newman website: www.dalenewmanmusic.com
