Kiss Farewell Event Could Be FREE
30 May 2017 Music News
Kiss legend Gene Simmons said he wants the band to bow out at the right time. He also stated that when the band does finally bid the rock world farewell, the event may even be FREE!
But don’t worry the band aren’t calling it quits just yet, Simmons thinks they have a few more years left in them, but he knows the band can’t go on forever.
Simmons: “We’re not going to be able to do this into our 70s – and I’m 67 now. But we’ll do it for a few more years, and when we think it’s time to go, we’ll go.
“We’ll do it the right way, with a big party. I’d like to think we’d do something that rocks the planet, something big and worldwide – and maybe free.”
Until then Simmons is still dedicated to Kiss, claiming he would never work with another band no matter how great they were.
“‘Gene, you can be in Radiohead.’ No. ‘You can be in Oasis.’ No. ‘Do you like them?’ Yeah, I love them. But I get to wear higher heels and more makeup than you do. I get to spit fire I get to work my ass off every single show.
Simmons revealed he had been writing new music for Kiss, but the lack of profit that comes from music release meant he was not interested in developing the ideas. Here’s hoping he changes his mind.
