WATCH: AC/DC’s Brian Johnson Return to the Big Stage!

15 May 2017 Music News

Former AC/DC vocalist Brian Johnson returned to the big stage alongside Robert Plant and Paul Rodgers in Oxford last night. He collaborated on a cover of a  Barrett Strong  track titled Money (That’s What I Want).

The event hosted at Oxford’s New Theatre was part of Rodgers’ Free SpiritUK tour, and was quite a spectacle with the three leading males sharing the stage and the vocals.

This was Johnson’s debut appearance back on stage since he was forced to leave AC/DC in March last year,  after doctors warned him he faced total hearing loss if he continued. The band hired Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose to replace Johnson and continue their Rock Or Bust world tour.

Back then Johnson said “I am hoping that in time my hearing will improve and allow me to return to live concert performances. While the outcome is uncertain, my attitude is optimistic.”

After working with audio expert Asius, there is word from chief scientist Stephen Ambrose that Johnson could be performing once again  “within six months to a year.”
