Wishbone ash Vintage Years: Deluxe 30 Disc Boxed Set Released April

The legendary British Rock band Wishbone Ash see their back catalogue get an overhaul with the fulsome boxed set Vintage Years in April
Containing 30 discs from the band recorded between 1970 and 1991 the box is approved and supported by all members of the band. It contains all the studio and live albums recorded during the period 1970-1991 and also a number of live albums and rarities never before released on CD. The box comes complete with a 156-page hardback book written by Dave Ling and also posters and a reproduction of a rare Japanese flexi disc. The box is limited to just 2m500 copies worldwidewishbone-ash-1979

The band was formed in 1970 by Martin Turner, Andy Powell, Ted Turner and Steve Upton. The big breakthrough for the band was their third album Argus and that was closely followed by Wishbone Four and the double live album Live Dates. Following this Live album guitarist, Ted Turner left the band and was replaced by former Home guitarist Laurie Wisefield. Ted Turner did, however, rejoin the band later in the last eighties and recorded and performed with the band.

The band today continues led by founder member Andy Powell and Martin Turner also performs and records regularly with his own band. laurie Wisefield records and tours with  Snakecharmer following a period in the late eighties and early nineties as a member of Tina Turner’s band.Drummer Steve Upton no longer plays music and has retired from the business.


Wishbone Ash was a hugely popular band throughout the seventies and early eighties both in the UK and mainland Europe and also in Japan and the United States of America
This Boxed set will appeal to all those fans who followed Wishbone Ash throughout the time period covered by this box 1970-1991
